PIFF/LA signs agreements with important Film Festivals and Organizations in Panama

Mariel García Spooner (Hayah Film Festival), Milko Delgado (Acampadoc), Anubis Vrussh (Panama Animation Festival), Said Isaac (Panalandia), Martín Proaño (Cine Animal – Reto Microcine), Luis Romero (RedCrea Panamá) and Jose Luis Campos (PIFF/LA Coordinator in Panama)

The Panamanian International Film Festival in Los Angeles (PIFF/LA) signed agreements this past October 2nd with some of the most relevant international film festivals and organizations in Panama which have now become part of the Creative Alliances of PIFF/LA. The objective of this alliance is to support each other and shorten the distance between Panama and the cradle of cinema, Hollywood.

Under this agreement, PIFF/LA will be able to screen films from members of the Creative Alliance as part of their 2019 edition, and the Panamanian audience will be able to enjoy the best films screened in Los Angeles. We are very excited to be building a community of film festivals while supporting the Panamanian film industry in all the ways we can.

The formal signing event, called “Panafest en Panama”, took place at the Alianza Francesa de Panama earlier this year and was followed by a screening of the best films from PANAFEST 2017 commemorated with a toast of Vinum wine.
