BannabáFest – Festival Internacional de Cine de Derechos Humanos

The International Human Rights Film Festival of Panama, BannabáFest, arose because of a personal experience of its director, Édgar Soberón Torchia, at a homologous film festival in Bolivia, where he noticed the positive effect of the audiovisual when It addressed human rights issues. BannabáFest responds to the need to spread a cinema that shines a light on the people who want to live beyond their personal interests. A sometimes cheerful, sometimes painful cinema, BannabáFest screens stories that are a rebellion against moral rules and laws that keep us behind, always in the framework of a community world. The International Human Rights Film Festival of Panama is for everyone: it’s for Panama and for the entire world.
